Wow!

I'm impressed. This is really good! I see a lot of sprites that are probably custom made for your series (I've never played Earthbound, I admit it) which would mean a lot of hard work was required to make this. I like your lip syncing technique and the voice acting was flawless. It was also really funny. I'm probably going to watch the rest of this series, unfinished or not after this one (yup, this is a Mid-Flash-Review). Also, AMAZING for a first Flash. Keep up the good work. 4.30 is a perfect score for this excellent Flash. 5/5 10/10

Mutteo responds:

You should try Earthbound for the SNES, it was overlooked as a game, it's actually quite interesting and bizarre. Yes I made many sprites for my series. For this flash I had to make everything, the house, the living room, streets, kitchen, bedrooms, stores, characters, I made all those, and let me tell you, it is worth every moment, and hey it's reusable!

Thanks for the review! =3

Wooooow...

I can't believe you submitted this. I JUST taught you to Sprite Flash and you're already submitting quick stuff. You really should've waited but meh. You also kinda moved part of Kirby's eye a bit. You need learn about the magic of Ctrl +Z. I realize here on Newgrounds if a sprite movie isn't good, they'll pass with the "my first sprite movie excuse". I guess I'll let you pass with that too, cuz it's too late to ever make another first movie. Pretty good for a first, and a top-notch musician. Not amazing but pretty good. 7/10

Prodigal responds:

YAY

Beautiful.

I loved it. It was well animated, well thought out and most of all it actually had meaning, that being a break from all the screwed up stuff here on Newgrounds. 23 minutes is a lot to lose, too. That's more than half of the Flash. I wouldn't have minded watching that version either. Anyway, great job and I hope to see more of your work with your new tablet as well!

SpikeVallentine responds:

Thank you for your appreciation and sharing your opinion.
Whatever God has blessed me with, all the Glory to Him.

That 23 minutes is better off left in the dumpster collecting spider webs that has spiderwebs on them.. No one needs to see it.

Good job!

This explains everything! I have this disorder! Great animation too, I liked the style of the moving drawings on the man. It was also really funny. I've been in similar situations many times so I could kinda relate to him. Yes, it's a very annoying thing to have. :|

albiokay responds:

at last, someone truly understands what i was trying to convey
thank you :]

Hey, look what I found!

Another new submission by you. You're getting better too, and your writer had some damn funny ideas and I especially enjoyed the first skit. A good word of advice though, stop using the same content in every one of your movies, I notice you put some of the same jokes in every one of your Flashes. For example, the ha-ha joke. It's just not funny anymore, okay? Especially with that low quality sound byte you always use.

Another thing too, for all your movies you need to double check your spelling. I realize you're from Israel but just make sure stuff is spelled right before you submit, okay? I could write for you too, you know. You know I'm funny if you give me some time. Anyway, good job. Just keep those things in mind.

MarioFlashMovies responds:

OK, but please don't tell where I live in feature reviews, and The SImpsons laugh there is not ment for humor. It is ment to laugh at Luigi that FAILed.

Good.

OBVIOUSLY SMBZ inspired. You hardly even needed to put that in, though lots of fanboys would most certainly be zero bombing you if you didn't. There are so many of these cliche sprite series (usually never finished) and honestly, this one kind of stood out a bit (yes, only a BIT). Anyway here's my criticism.

The sprites were... okay. They worked. I didn't like how you tried to mix bad quality photo images, amateur drawing and sprites into one either. Next time stick to just sprites or when you get good, maybe you can draw your own landscapes and crap, though custom spriting would be a step up. Another thing, trash the stickmen. It's not a very good idea to put both sticks and sprites into one Flash, especially if the sticks aren't animated too well, even if you can 3-D render them, it still isn't an exception. Again, stick to sprites. The placement of "Kirby 64 - Rock Star" was very unfitting, but that happens to be one of my favorite video game songs so I won't drop my rating for that. If I see another episode of this series I will most certainly watch it and hopefully, you'll have improved by then.

I would've given this review a 5/10 or something but I enjoyed the Donkey Kong part so much I decided to bump it up a bit. Of course though, I am very lenient with my reviews (a little too lenient actually). The credits at the end are a bit broken at some point too. You might wanna fix that.

TankofDestruction responds:

happy new year!

Meh.

It was okay. The overly simple background made it look like a rush job and was probably the reason it was rejected. I was going to join that collab too but I was too busy to make any parts.

Greg-SKA responds:

Well Yes the Backgrounds, not only is it rushed but im not good at them

It's okay.

I can see what you were thinking in your head when you made this movie but In my opinion, you may need a bit more practice.

The animation was very rugged and If anything I suggest using tweens if you don't already and if you do, make them alot smoother and add EASE. Ease in tweens is a sprite animator's best friend.

I saw a small bit of lip-syncing. It was basically a black square and that's a good way to lip sync for sprites but I suggest again you use tweens for these too (it works out good for me).

If you don't understand ease, it makes your tweens so they get slower overtime or faster overtime. Say you have a Mario sprite and he's slowing down while he's running. The ease in that tween would be above 0. Also, by the end of the tween he should come to a complete stop.

Well, I hope you choose to use this advice. I hope to see more of your work in the future. Also, if you're going to use shapes (the water in the menu etc.), give them custom gradients with relatively close colors if you can't shade well. But a little shading wouldn't heard anybody, would it?

DragonKnightMatt responds:

I'll give it a try, but I'm still kindof new with Flash 8, which is the one I'm using at the moment...

LOL!

I remember when I used to play this. I had LeafGreen though. Bellawesome made me laugh. This is a REALLY good parody! The only problem is a few misplaced frames here and there (subliminal messages?). You should get front page for this! :P

OrangePylon responds:

I have Leaf Green, too. :P

Pee Green is a gross title, though.

No, the "misplaced frames" are camera bugs. I should have put subliminal messages though. XP

Man I was cringe back then
